Singer/Songwriter concert is on May 8
Garnet Rogers will perform a Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Unitarian Church North in Mequon.
Rogers’s music is described as literate, passionate, highly sensitive, deeply purposeful and cinematic in detail.
He sings songs about people who are not obvious heroes and of the small victories of the everyday in songs that have bits of over-the-top humor and wit.
Tickets to the concert are $22 in advance, $26 at the door and $12 for students. Discounts of $1 per donated food item to a maximum $4 will be given at the door.
Advance tickets may be purchased at North Shore Bank offices in Grafton and Mequon, Vines to Cellar in Port Washington and online at www.wsss.org.
Concessions will be available for purchase.
Other Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series concerts include Sarah McQuaid on Saturday, Sept. 19; Rupert Wates on Saturday, Oct. 24; Deidre McCalla and Joe Jencks on Saturday, Nov. 14; and the Port Food Pantry Inc. benefit on Saturday, Dec. 5.
