Silver Beach Road nears completion

The Village of Belgium’s 1,100-foot portion of Silver Beach Road is paved with just a final lift of asphalt to be put on, along with three-foot gravel shoulders and pouring concrete where septic haulers dump. The town has already paved its portion of the road, finishing the long-discussed and planned paving of the former gravel roadway that, in addition to making for a smoother ride, will keep truck traffic headed to and from the village’s industrial park off Main Street in the village.
