Shopping party to raise funds for meals

Family Sharing of Ozaukee will host a win-win shopping party for clients and the public from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24.

The event provides early access to the agency’s fall and winter collection before it opens to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

It also supports Family Sharing’s Bags in Backpacks program, which provides weekend meals to local students when school meal programs are unavailable.

It also supports the purchase of breakfast and lunch items, snacks and easy-to-prepare meals.

There are 50 spots available for the event, and sweet treats will be provided.

A goodie bag with coupons, special offers and surprises from local businesses will also be given to each participant.

The cost is $20, and Family Sharing hopes to raise $1,150 through the event.
