Shirley Cira

Shirley Ann Cira passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021. She was 88 years old. Shirley was born on March 4, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wis., to parents Frederick and Blanche (Renning) Petzold. Shirley enjoyed birds, crocheting and watching NCIS. She had a heart of gold and was generous to those around her. She made sure that her family had the things they needed, even surprising them with gifts for their birthdays that they saw while “window” shopping. She ran her home with love and will be remembered for the amazing woman she was. She will be missed. Shirley is survived by her children Mike (Lenore) Cira, Christine Cira, John Cira, Diane Henning, Tim (Kierstin) Cira and Dan (Sue) Cira; grandchildren Theresa, Nate, Mat and Zach (Jennifer) Cira, John Ryan (Laura) McCormick, Kevin (Shelby) McCormick, Emily Hutchinson, Haley Henning, Wyatt Henning and Jonas, Roman, Katja, Kali and Ty Cira; great-grandchildren Arie Rose and Riley; sister Bunny Nowicki; and brother Robert (Laverne) Petzold. She is further survived by other family members and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, son Steven and sister Patty Fisher. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074, at 4 p.m. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity or Shirley’s favorite charity, St. Jude, are appreciated. A special thank you to Harbor Club and Heartland Hospice.
