Shedding an artistic light on nature

Gallery 224 in downtown Port Washington recently kicked off its Artservancy exhibit with an artist reception. Clockwise from top: Painter Dana Larson showed off some of the works she created during a year at Turtle Park, while Clare Jorgensen revealed the encaustic pieces she was inspired to make while working at the Beerline Trail. Fiber artist Amanda Tollefson spent a year at Oconomowoc River Conservancy Park. Gallery 224 at 303 N. Franklin St. is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.    Photos by Sam Arendt
