Shawna Peterson

Shawna Peterson of Horicon, formerly of Port Washington, passed away the evening of Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, due to health complications. She was 56 years old.

Shawna was born in Portage, Wis., on Nov. 16, 1969, the daughter of Barbara Kratz Gallipeau and Dale Kratz. Her family moved to Saukville and she attended Port Washington High School.

Shawna is survived by her husband Joe Peterson, son Caleb Lopez and daughter Chloe Peterson. She is further survived by her mother Barbara Gallipeau, stepfather Dennis Gallipeau, brother Derek (Dawn) Kratz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Dale Kratz and sister Jennifer Kratz Oberst.

A graveside memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 27, at Union Cemetery in Port Washington followed by a celebration of life from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Engine Room 102, 102 E. Pier St., Port Washington, Wis.
