Scott A. Fechter

Scott A. Fechter of Random Lake passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 60.

He was born in Port Washington to Robert and Alice (Zeckmeister) Fechter on June 3, 1962.

Scott married the love of his life, Kelly Monahan, at Holy Trinity Church, Newburg, on May 23, 1992.

Scott graduated from Ozaukee High School in 1980.

He worked on the Fechter family farm for many years and later went into business with a friend building homes. From there he was a manager at Walmart for 20 years, then took a management position with Festival Foods in Sheboygan and worked there until his death.

Scott loved working on projects including bird houses and planters, among many other gifts he made for others. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, often fishing, hunting and trapping.

Scott was a wonderful husband, father and provider. He was hardworking and treasured spending time camping, sitting around the bonfire and laughing with friends and family members. He will be missed terribly by those who knew him best.

Scott’s memory will remain in the hearts of his wife Kelly; children Matthew and Austin; mother Alice Fechter; and siblings John Fechter, Bob (Robin) Fechter, Jean (Al) Carmody, Sue (Jim) VanBeek and Linda (Ron) Wilkens.

Scott is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Fechter and his canine companion Athena.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 521 Congress Dr., Newburg, Wis., 53060.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be planned for a later date.

Scott’s family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbor Brian Zettler for all his help during this difficult time.
