Sally Ann Jentges

Sally Jentges, age 91, of Port Washington, died Monday evening, Jan. 30, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

She was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Port Washington, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (nee Miersch) Egerer.

She was a 1949 graduate of Port Washington High School.

On Sept. 18, 1954, she married Lawrence Jentges at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington.

Sally worked as a secretary at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington, retiring in 1995.   

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia.

Survivors include her children Steven (Katie) Jentges and Susan Sheldon; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Derek) Nejedlo, Erik (Cecelia) Sheldon, Abbigail Bogie, Kelly-Ann Sheldon, Jacob Bogie, Austen (Cassie) Jentges, Mitchell Jentges and Carlee Jentges; two great-grandchildren, Emma Sally and Cayden; and one sister, Marlene Blank.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; son Alan; daughter Nancy Bogie; nine brothers, Marvin, Robert, Henry, Willard, Clarence, Eugene, George, Gerald and Edgar; and five sisters, Eleanore, Bernice, Lorraine, Clarinda and Geraldine.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Port Washington.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m.
