Saints split weekend games

Last Sunday, the Saukville Saints defeated the Thiensville-Mequon Twins, 7-1, behind the pitching of Casey Johnson and a big second inning.
Johnson had a shutout spoiled in the eighth inning when the Twins scored a run on three hits.
The Saints blew the game open in the second inning, using four hits and three walks to plate four runs.
Max Pruefer, Johnson, Mike Sherrick and Steve Dickmann each had a single, while Taylor Devenport, Sam Matthies and Aaron Brockman each walked.
Sherrick ended the game with two hits.
Jimmy Doedens had four hits to lead the Twins.
Last Saturday, the Kewaskum A’s beat the Saints, 7-2.
The A’s Adam Cairo limited the Saints to three hits, striking out eight.
Brockman allowed nine hits while whiffing eight.
Taylor Devenport, Mike Pruefer and Brockman each had a hit for the Saints.
Brad Young, Mike Prochnow and Jim Ziegler each had two hits for the A’s.
On Friday, July 27, the Saints play at the Hartford Hawks at 7:30 p.m.
