Russel Noegel

 

Russel “Rusty” J. Noegel, of Port Washington, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Harbor Club in Port Washington. He was 83.

Mr. Noegel was born March 3, 1935, in Rugby Junction in Washington County to Joseph and Anita Fohl Noegel.

On July 30, 1955, he married Hildegarde Mog at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Hubertus. They met at a roller rink when they were still teenagers, their son, Jon, said.

The Noegel family farmed in Rugby Junction and later moved to Port Washington. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington.

He enjoyed well-drilling, working on cars and towing cars working for his son, Jon Noegel said.

Mr. Noegel is survived by his children Mark (Jay Stallman) of Berlin, Mass., Scott (Laurie) of Seattle, Jon (Jill) of Port Washington, and Cynthia (Martin) van Hoff of Cudahy; grandchildren Andrew (Lily), Melissa (Justin) Langer, Zachary, Hannah Noegel and Aiden and Avery van Hoff; great-grandson Chase; and sister Shirely Hefter of Slinger. He was preceded in death by his wife Hildegarde and brother Deril.

At Mr. Noegel’s request, private services have been arranged for the immediate family.

Eernisse Funeral Home assisted the family.
