Rose Kowalski

Rose M. Kowalski, age 60, of Cañon City, Colo., passed away at St. Thomas Moore Hospital on March 23 after a brief illness.
Rose was the daughter of the late Henry and Dolores Kowalski of Belgium, Wis., the youngest of 10 children.
Rose was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School, Cedar Grove, Wis. She received a bachelor of arts degree in art from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Rose lived and worked in many places but always found Colorado to be her “home.” Horticulture and learning to play guitar and other instruments were her passions. She enjoyed “jamming” with other musicians and freely shared her musical talents with others.
Rose is survived by the love of her life, Tom Geiman of Cañon City, Colo.; sisters Sr. Rose Kowalski (given name Carol) of Nicaragua, Jeanne Kowalski of Milwaukee, Wis., Laura (Mark) Nevins of Plymouth, Wis., Kathy (Bob) Poull of Grafton, Wis., and Alice (Dan) Brill of Cedar Grove, Wis.; and brothers Bruce (Kathy Fronek) Kowalski of Md., Dave Bilder, a.k.a Walter, of Arizona and Karl (Jodi) Kowalski of Texas.
She is further survived by her eight nieces and nephews, 11 great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many musician friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeffrey Kowalski.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at a later date.
Holt Family Funeral Homes, Cañon City, Colo., is assisting the family.
