Ronald James Holtslander II

Ronald James Holtslander II of Port Washington, Wis., peacefully passed away into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by his loving family on May 16, 2026.
Ron, the son of Ronald J Holtslander Sr. and Patricia (Kirchen) Holtslander, was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Feb. 5, 1959.
He is survived by his loving wife Lisa (Hayes) Holtslander, whom he married on June 9, 1989; son Ronald Holtslander III of Port Washington; daughter Amanda Holtslander of Manitowoc; father Ronald J. Holtslander Sr. of Port Washington; sister Linda (Eric) Johnson of Ripon, Wis.; and three grandchildren, Gracelynn, Genesis and Silas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Patricia B. Holtslander, sister Sandra and grandson Leviticus.
Ron was a 1978 graduate of Port Washington High School. He was a defensive player on the Port High football team. He enjoyed many activities and hobbies, and took third in state in the Milwaukee School of Olympics for his welding techniques.
Ron was an avid hunter and enjoyed going to the family hunting land for hunting and camping. He was a hunter education safety instructor at the Saukville Rifle and Pistol Club for 25 years.
He earned the name “Captain Ron” for the love of his boats, (Reggie J and R Paradise), which he moored in the Port marina.
He also believed in community service and was a lieutenant with the Ozaukee County Rescue Service (OCRS) who worked on the boat’s maintenance and was often the coxswain when on rescue calls on Lake Michigan.
Ron was also an Emergency Medical Technician and a part owner and operator of Interstate Ambulance.
Ron enjoyed racing his buggy (Team Tazz) with the sanctioned body of Championship Off Road Racing (CORR). He was also a “track worker” at Road America.
He was very proud of his 1971 Mach I Mustang, which he restored and took to multiple car shows.
Ron was also active in his prayer group with his wife Lisa.
A visitation will be held at Pilgrim Church in Grafton, Wis., on June 6, 2026, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with a service starting at 11 a.m.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
