Rocket Academy holding open house Thursday
Cedar Grove-Belgium School District’s charter school, Rocket Academy, will hold an open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, in the high school cafeteria.
The school is open to juniors and seniors from all school districts.
The academy opened this year and focuses on technical manufacturing and general employability skills.
Ground is expected to be broken this spring on a 12,000-square-foot permanent building for the school in Belgium. Former president of Krier Foods and entrepreneur John Rassel is building the facility, which will include classroom space and a work area large enough to do welding and for computer numerical-controlled machines.
