Riveredge plans family club, music fest
Riveredge Nature Center’s Family Nature Club will return with a Welcome Back potluck from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept.17.
The event will be held at the River Outpost, where participants will have time to catch up with each other, catch crayfish, play games, enjoy a potluck dinner and end the day with s’mores.
If the skies are clear, volunteer astronomer Jim Hahn will lead stargazing through binoculars beginning after sunset.

Tickets are also on sale for Riveredge’s Autumn Acoustics event, which runs from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
The event features local musicians, food, bakery, beverages and activities for kids and adults.
Groups performing on the main stage include Whitty Remarks, Long Mama, Ben Mulwana and the Village and Joseph Huber. Playing at the Sugarbush house will be Nzinga, Tlalok Rodgriguez and Kenzie Pauly.
The cost is $15 for adults, $5 for children and free for children 4 and younger.
