Riveredge gears up for Fairy Fest June 8

Fairy Fest will be held Saturday, June 8, at Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville.

The center is celebrating mythology, lore and fairies that inhabit Riveredge. Visitors may include Robbie the Gnome, Bigfoot, fairies, minpins, reedgivers, butterflies, dragonflies and fairy shrimp.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and designed for children ages 2 through 12 accompanied by an adult.

Activities include storytelling, making flower crowns, wings and wands, creating a take-home fairy garden, learning about pollinators, making a fruity potion and facepainting.

People are asked to dress for the weather. Costumes are encouraged.

Members cost $10. Nonmembers cost $15.
