Richard Rozek

Richard “Rick” Rozek, age 65, of Saukville, Wis., passed away during surgery at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Wis., on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021.
He was born to Jerome “Jerry” and Lillian Anderson Rozek in Milwaukee, Wis., on July 13, 1956, the youngest of three boys.
He graduated from Custer High School in 1973.
Rick was an exceptional mechanic who owned quite a few “muscle” cars from the 1960’s, his favorite being a 1964 Chevy Impala. He loved going to car shows and helped his close friends working to restore their vehicles, even as his health deteriorated.
He was also an avid card player — sheepshead and cribbage were his favorite games. He collected antique stopwatches, coins and souvenir travel pins.
Rick was a very caring person. He moved to California after his brother Greg was diagnosed with cancer to take care of him. After his death, Rick stayed to help raise Greg’s young son Michael. He moved to Saukville, Wis., after his father Jerry died to help with the care of his mother, Lillian.
Rick will be missed by his brother Jeffrey (Linda) Rozek of Saukville, Wis., his niece Rebecca Rozek (Jesse Wilks) of Philadelphia, Penn., his nephew Michael (Crystal) Rozek of California and their children.
He will also be missed by his best friend Ralph and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lillian and his brother Gregory.
Family services have been held.
Poole Funeral Home/Crematory, Port Washington, Wis., assisted the family.
