Rescued beagles take a meeting with a senator in Saukville

State Sen. Jodi Habush Sinykin (right), an animal advocate who as a lobbyist in 2009 helped pass Wisconsin Act 90, commonly referred to as the puppy mill law, visited two beagles rescued from the biomedical research lab Ridglan Farms in Mount Horeb at the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus in Saukville last week. Introducing her to the dogs, which are being cared for in area foster homes, were Angela Speed (middle), vice president of marketing and communications for the Humane Society, and Adoption Care Technician Sion Martin.
