Registrations being accepted for fall recreation classes

The Grafton Parks and Recreation Department has a host of programs open this fall.

Adult lap swim is held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 20 through Dec. 20, at the Grafton High School pool. There will be no swim on Nov. 24.
Lifeguards are on duty.

The cost is $3 for residents $4 and for nonresidents. Punch passes are $25 for 10 visits and $50 for 20 visits. Nonresidents pay $35 for 10 visits. Passes are available at the pool and department office.

Gentle flow yoga classes will be offered from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays Sept. 25 through Dec. 18 in the lower level of the Grafton Multipurpose Senior Center, 1665 Seventh Ave. Class will not be held Nov. 27.

Sessions are designed to revitalize the body, relax the mind and reduce stress through accessible movements created to maximize blood flow with an emphasis on breath work.

The cost is $46 for village residents and $54 for nonresidents. Maral Almozaffar is the instructor.

Vinyassa yoga will be held 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Thursdays from Oct. 21 through Jan. 27. Class will not be held Nov. 25, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.

Sessions will connect breath to body to spirit, and other yoga styles, such as yin, restorative and hatha, will be infused.

People are asked to bring a mat, water bottle and towel. Blocks and straps will be available.

The cost is $46 for village residents and $54 for nonresidents. Dana Thomas is the instructor.

An adult bean-bag league will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Sept. 21 to Oct. 19 at the Zaun Pavilion at Lime Kiln Park.

Carry-ins are allowed.

The winning team receives a prize from The Bridge in Grafton.
