Quinten “Quint” Mayer

Honoring a life of dedication and joy.
Quinten “Quint” Mayer, age 94, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2025.
Born in Belgium, Wis., in 1931 to Edward and Martha Krick Mayer, Quint was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He shared 50 wonderful years with his wife Donna, enjoyed retirement in Sunland Village East and even pursued his passion for country western music within the community.
Quint’s remarkable 45-year career in the automotive industry was marked by leadership and integrity, from record-setting sales to management roles in Wisconsin (Westside Auto, Foster Pontiac, Ernie Von Schledorn of Menonomee Falls and Saukville) and Arizona (Pitre Buick Scottsdale). He earned and appreciated the trust and loyalty of thousands of his customers. He concluded his long career as vice president and general manager at Phil Tolkan Pontiac Nissan Isuzu, where he also became their well-known TV and radio spokesperson.
An avid sports enthusiast, Quint especially loved Indianapolis racing, attending countless Indy 500s and never missing a race at the Milwaukee Mile.
He is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Michelle (Greg) Nimner, stepchildren Rick (Pam) Klemp, Charlene (Glen) Ayers and Wendy (Paul) Lavoie, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Mayer and sister Madelyn Meyer.
Quint will be remembered for his kindness, humor, dedication and the joy he brought to all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
