Preparing for the chicken roast, run

The event, traditionally held in Veterans Park, will be held at Centennial Park this year. The day starts with the run and walk at 9 a.m., with registration starting at 8 a.m. Signup can also be done online at Signup.com/graftonlions5krunwalk. The chicken roast, which runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., includes music by D-Jeneration, children’s games and the inaugural Grafton Lions Softball Wing Dingers, with two games for players 65 and older starting at 11 a.m. and another game at 2 p.m. Tickets for the chicken roast are $16 in advance and $17 at the event, with a special discount for run/walk participants. Tickets are available at Grafton Ave Hardware, Horicon Bank, K. Komfort Heating and Cooling and Port Washington State Bank’s Grafton branch.
