Port Washington firls’ soccer team stays hot, winning seven of last eight games

The Port Washington High School girls’ soccer team won two games last week.

Port on May 12 won, 2-1, at Kettle Moraine Lutheran, avenging an earlier 4-1 loss.

Charlotte O’Brien scored on an assist from keeper Kamryn Knaub, and Lily Kerbel scored on a penalty kick. Knaub had seven saves.

Last Thursday, Port completed the sweep of West Bend Co-op with a 2-0 home win. O’Brien and Knaub scored on penalty kicks. Knaub had eight saves.

Port, 5-3 in the Glacier Trails Conference and 7-3-2 overall, plays at Kewaskum (1-7 GTC) on Thursday, May 21, and hosts Sheboygan South (1-7 GTC) on Tuesday, May 26.

Grafton, 2-1 in the North Shore Conference and 9-2 overall, was to host Slinger on Tuesday, May 19. It hosts Cedar Grove-Belgium on Friday, May 22.
