Port tennis players have Scout to thank for new backboard

Port Washington High School tennis player Ty Brickner (front) traded his racket for tools last weekend and with the help of volunteers, including friends (behind him) Dylan Yass, Luke Knop and Carson Krentz, built a backboard seen behind them at the Port Washington-Saukville School District tennis courts near Thomas Jefferson Middle School for his Eagle Scout project. Ty, a sophomore and member of Troop 855, not only built but designed and raised money for the backboard, which allows players to practice by themselves.  Photo by Sam Arendt
