Port tennis has mixed results
The Port Washington High School boys’ tennis team won two of its six matches at a Waukesha West invite on April 24 and 25.
The Pirates beat Waukesha North, 4-2.
At No. 1 singles, Nolan Kratz won, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 2, Gavin Cain won, 6-0, 6-1. At No. 3, Noah Carlson won, 6-0, 6-3. At No. 4 singles, Tristan Timberlake won, 6-0, 6-1.
The No. 1 doubles team of Andrew Williams and Ezra Logan lost, 6-2, 7-5.
At No. 2 doubles, Alex Price and Dean Wilson lost 6-4, 6-2.
Against West Allis, Port swept its singles matches.
Kratz won, 6-1, 6-1. Cain won 6-0, 6-0. Carlson won 6-1, 6-0, and Timberlake won, 6-1, 6-0.
The No. 3 doubles team of Ty Brickner and Will Dahmen won, 6-2, 6-1.
Port lost matches to Oconomowoc, Pewaukee and Oregon. All were by 7-0 sweeps.
Port was to play at Plymouth on Tuesday, May 5. The Pirates play at Sheboygan South on Tuesday, May 12.
