Port photographer to participate in free headshot event

    Robert Tyree of Port Washington is among more than 200 photographers who will take more than 10,000 headshots of unemployed Americans throughout the country on Wednesday, July 22.
    Tyree and his Tyree Photography studio will take photos of unemployed area residents at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    There is no fee for the photos, which are intended to be included with participants’ resumes and posted to job sites such as LinkedIn. According to LinkedIn, people who include headshots with their profile receive 21 times more views and nine times more connection requests than those without photos.
    The headshots will be provided to participants at the event through the photo-sharing platform SpotMyPhotos.
    “The Greater Milwaukee Area, like so many others, was hit hard by Covid-19 and I was looking for ways to help our neighbors get back on their feet,” Tyree said.
