Port, Grafton enjoy the outdoors in track

PORT WASHINGTON’S GRACE BAUMANN (top left, from left) won the pole vault by clearing nine feet on a warm afternoon and evening at Homestead on April 15. State champion high jumper Peyton Keller won her signature event by clearing 5-4. ThiLar Goodman won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.42 seconds, and teammate LeRoy Pinkston (back) was second in 17.07. Grafton’s Gabriela Detoro (above left) was seventh in discus with a throw of 70-11. Tyler Heinle was fifth in the long jump with 20-1. DJ James won the 100 in 11.33 seconds and teammate Hunter Klippel was third in 11.67 seconds. The meet was delayed by a day, and team totals weren’t tallied.       Photos by Mitch Maersch
