Port educator receives top honor from WEAC

    Port Washington-Saukville School District paraeducator Jennifer Peer has been named 2021 Education Support Professional of the Year by the Wisconsin Education Association Council.
    Peer, who works at Lincoln Elementary School in Port Washington, was chosen to receive the award by a committee of public school teachers in recognition of her school leadership and involvement in the Port Washington-Saukville Education Support Professionals Association.
    “She consistency goes above and beyond, inspiring everyone around her,” WEAC President Ron Martin said of Peer.
    Peer was nominated for the honor by Port Washington High School teacher Nathan Ugoretz, who highlighted her continuing advocacy for her students and their families during the pandemic.
