Pigs coming to visit village

Belgium Village Marshal Leon Anzia reported on Monday that complaints of a barking dog and trash in a yard are being taken care of, but another issue seems to have to be resolved on its own.

He has received multiple calls about a bunch of pigs running around on the western side of the village.

Public Works Director Dan Birenbaum told Ozaukee Press that he tried to narrow down which farmer in the neighboring Town of Belgium owns the pigs but didn’t want to announce any names.

“As far as we know right now, the pigs are going to be running around there until the corn is off the field. There’s no way they can catch them,” Anzia said.

Anzia will not participate.

“I’m not chasing no pigs,” he said.
