Paul Rosewitz

Paul J. Rosewitz of Saukville died Monday, Oct. 1, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee from complications of a stroke. He was 55.

Mr. Rosewitz was born Feb. 20, 1963, to Ben and Carol Schmit Rosewitz in Port Washington. He was raised in Saukville and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1981.

He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and fishing, especially on the Milwaukee River near where he lived, his son Mike said.

Mr. Rosewitz also enjoyed woodworking.

“He made a chair, but wasn’t so much into making furniture,” his son said. “He made more practical things like a fishing rod holder.”

He also made renovations to his house and many home repairs.

“He was pretty handy,” Mike Rosewitz said.

He most enjoyed his motorcycles and cars.

“He really liked his Ducati 848. And when I was younger we both rode dirt bikes,” his son said.

He enjoyed grilling and smoking meat.

“He enjoyed making food for us. His favorite was to grill steaks,” Mike Rosewitz said.

Mr. Rosewitz is survived by his children Mike (Kayla McIlree) of Port Washington and Anna Rosewitz of Grafton, his mother, his sister Kim Rosewitz of Saukville and his former spouse Dawn Rosewitz of Grafton.

He is preceded in death by his father.
