Paul Prochaska

Paul C. Prochaska, age 74, of Port Washington, Wis., died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, Wis.

He was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Port Washington to Frank and Susan Blong Prochaska.

He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1965 and began working along side his father at Prochaska Electric.  

Paul met Barbara Ansay and on March 15, 1980, they were married at St. Mary’s Church in Port Washington, Wis.

He continued to run the family business and Barb worked with him while raising the family.

Paul was a bowler and sponsored the Prochaska Electric team for many years, collecting many trophies along the way. When not working, he enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and waterskiing. He also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin.  

A hard worker, he was always ready with a smile or wave to those he knew around town.

He is survived by his wife Barb and sons Frank Prochaska of Grafton, Wis., and Troy (Lisa) Prochaska of Belgium, Wis.; his sisters Carol (Spike) Heniadis and Lois (Roger) Galler, both of Port Washington, Wis.; his sister-in-law Arlene Prochaska of Saukville; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Frank Prochaska.

Father Patrick Wendt will officiate memorial services at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at Poole Funeral Home, 203 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington, Wis.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
