Paul Martin Michel

Paul Martin Michel passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2025, at the age of 85 at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon.
Until the very end, Paul maintained his kindness, compassion and deep appreciation for family and friends. He often expressed gratitude for a long life filled with meaningful experiences and cherished memories.
Paul was born on July 11, 1940, and raised in Franklin, N.H. In the 1960s, he made Wisconsin his home, settling in Milwaukee, where he met the love of his life, Kathleen. They were married in 1962 and shared many wonderful years together.
Paul devoted 36 years to his career as a respected banker at Mitchell Street State Bank. Shortly before retiring , he moved to Port Washington, where he enjoyed his later years.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathleen.
He is survived by his children William (Barb), Jennifer (Mike) and Rebecca, his grandchildren Amanda (Jorge), Paul, Brandon (Emily), Miranda (Brittany), Brittany and Josh and his two great-grandchildren, William and Olivia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington. Father Pat Wendt will preside over the Mass. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday, Jan. 2, from 10 a.m. until the service begins at 11 a.m.
Paul will be laid to rest beside his wife at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, where Paul spent his final days. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire care team at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon for their compassion and dedicated care.
