Paul Lemke

Mr. Paul Lemke of the Town of Saukville passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 21, 2026, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. He was 79 years old.
Paul was born in Port Washington on Sept. 16, 1947, the son of Melvin and Dolores (nee Dohrwardt) Lemke. He grew up in Cedarburg and attended local schools, including Cedarburg High School, where he participated in the choir program, graduating in 1965.
On Oct. 12, 1968, Paul was united in marriage with Mary Oelhafen at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. The couple lived briefly in the Town of Saukville and later moved to Port Washington, where they raised their daughters Angie and Becky. The family moved back to the Town of Saukville in 1983.
Mr. Lemke was a plumber by trade and worked for Watersoft Mermaid Water Conditioning in Cedarburg. He retired in 1994. Paul and Mary purchased the Videoland franchise in Saukville and ran it until it closed in the early 2000s.
Paul was a dedicated Star Trek fan and loved collecting Trekkie memorabilia over the years. He was an enthusiastic football fan and cheered the Packers every Sunday. For many years he enjoyed driving his BSA or Honda motorcycles. In his younger years, Paul loved to go deer hunting or fishing with family near Tomahawk. He found great joy in grilling for friends and family and had recently mastered his BBQ smoker.
Those left to cherish Paul’s memory include his wife of 58 years, Mary Lemke, and their daughters Angie (Scott Howard) Lemke of Port Washington and Becky (Mike) Blake of Jacksonville, Fla. He is further survived by four granddaughters, Sarah Jentges, Rachel (Adam) Bley, Leah Jentges and Kateri Blake, two great-grandchildren, Levi and Callie Bley, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Dolores and sisters Joyce (the late Lloyd) Schultz and Joan Murphy.
