Paul Koskamp

Paul W. Koskamp, age 91, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Heritage Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with dementia and diabetes.
Paul was born on Aug. 15, 1929, the son of Arthur and Martha (Swart) Koskamp.
On June 22, 1962, he married Edna Van Ess in Hingham, Wis.
Paul helped his dad with farming and later he was employed at Modern Equipment in Port Washington, Smith Bros. Fish Shanty and Harry’s Restaurant , and he was also a volunteer at the Food Pantry in Port Washington.
Even though he was not involved in farming for many years, his love for the farm and outdoors never left him. He enjoyed going for walks and spending time at the lake watching the fishing boats come in.
Paul was a devoted husband and father and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church Port Washington. Paul loved his family and church.
Paul is survived by his wife Edna; daughter Joanne; sisters Mary (Clarence) Thiel and Jane Ratmeyer; brother Aaron (Barbara) Koskamp; and sister-in-law Laverne Joosse. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Peter (Anna) Koskamp; and brothers-in-law Luther Ratmeyer, Adrian Joosse and John (Arline) Wisse
A private family service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, with a live stream option.
Paul will be laid to rest at Hingham Cemetery.
Memorials are appreciated to Grand Avenue United Methodist Church Port Washington, the Alzheimer’s Association or American Diabetes Association.
