Patricia D’Acquisto

Patricia Ann (Meleski) D’Acquisto, 88, of Grafton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on Feb. 15, 2023.

She was born Aug. 16, 1934, to the late Helen and John Meleski.

Patricia was the beloved mother of Debra Shoemaker and James (Ann) D’Acquisto and loving grandmother/Amah to Kelly Shoemaker, Jeff Shoemaker and Joseph D’Acquisto.

She is further survived by her brother Ronald Meleski and nieces, nephews and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her brother John V. Meleski, former husband James J. D’Acquisto and son-in-law Joel Shoemaker.

A special thank you to the compassionate Aurora Grafton Hospital medical team and Horizon Hospice for their loving care as she made her journey to our Lord.

The restaurant business was in her blood. She started as a waitress for Nino’s and worked her way to owning her own restaurant in Waupaca and later settling in Port Washington to manage the Dari Haus.

She lived 21 years at the Berkshire in Grafton, one of the first residents, where she planned many events throughout the years including tea parties, Oscar events and themed parties for all the residents to enjoy.

She loved to cook and plan family events. Her thoughts were always with her family; her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

A private family service will be held in March at a date to be determined.
