Parade was a success
This month’s parade allowing staff members of Cedar Grove-Belgium middle and elementary schools to see their students one last time was a special way to end an odd year, the School Board was told last week.
Retiring 4k teacher Nan Hokanson needed it the most.
“It certainly wasn’t the way she wanted to go and finish her career. It was a very emotional time for her,” elementary school Principal Jeff Kondrakiewicz said.
A total of 178 vehicles came through the high school parking lot, carrying an estimated 500 to 600 people, Kondrakiewicz said.
