Pamela Osowski
Pamela Osowski of Port Washington, formerly of West Bend, passed away at her residence on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the age of 78 years.
She was adored for her ready laugh, kind heart and generous spirit.
Pamela was born in Glenview, Ill., on March 26, 1946, the daughter of Edward and Patricia (nee Magnor) Patten.
After playing a significant part in raising her two younger brothers, she graduated from Quincy College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She later shared her love of the English language working as a teacher at West Allis High School and later at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School in West Bend.
Pamela took great joy in nurturing young minds, at home as well as in the classroom. Her love of children was boundless, becoming a “second mother” to many of her sons’ closest friends.
She had a passion for gardening, crafting and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones.
Pamela found peace in watching the many welcome birds in her yard and had a special fondness for dogs of all shapes and sizes, though especially St. Bernards.
A true lover of literature, Pamela could often be found engrossed in mystery novels or rereading her favorite Shakespearean plays.
Her love for all things Irish, including Belleek china and Aran sweaters, added a touch of her heritage to everything she did.
She cherished hosting family gatherings, tending to her well-kept lawn and spoiling her many beloved grandchildren. She could regularly be seen walking her dogs and meeting friends along the way, gaining a reputation as the doting neighborhood grandma.
Pamela is survived by her sons Michael (Eva), Matthew (Gloria), Patrick (Laura), Timothy (Kelly), Thomas (Holly) and John (Natalie) Osowski. She is further survived by her loving grandchildren Nadia, Javier, Rafferty, Johnston, Campbell, Theodore, Isabelle, Auggie, Leon, Eloise, Naomi, Jennifer and Brian; nieces Kelsey and Courtney; nephew Trevor; and cousin Mary Ann Budnik, along with other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Kevin and Kenneth (Judy) Patten, her uncle Thomas Magnor and aunt Kathleen Mayer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at noon Friday, May 10, 2024, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 451 Johnson St., Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside over the service. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the Osowski family.
