Painting teacher is June artist in residence

Painter Fred Bell is the June artist-in-residence at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.

Bell has taught painting for 20 years, currently teaching two classes through the Milwaukee Recreation Department and three online classes weekly via Zoom.

Bell will demonstrate his works from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Saturdays, June 1 and 8, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays, June 21 and 28.

Bell will also teach “Summer Florals in Acrylic” from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29.

He will demonstrate his impressionistic style throughout the class and provide suggestions to help participants develop their painting skills and individual style.

Those attending are encouraged to bring their own floral photo to work from, although a reference photo will be provided for those who need it.

The fee of $52 for center members and $62 for non-members includes all supplies.

The class is intended for novices to accomplished painters.
