Ozaukee star hits scoring milestone

It was a momentous evening for Ozaukee High School junior Braydon Lowrance-Eischen when the Warriors traveled to Kohler for a Big East Conference contest last Thursday.

The Warriors lost, 80-41, but Lowrance-Eischen eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in his career on his first basket of the second half.

He had 985 points entering the game. He scored 14 before the break and ended the game with his second consecutive 29-point game to lead all scorers.

Senior Dylan Budzisz was the second-highest scorer for the Warriors with just five points. He had eight rebounds.

Lowrance-Eischen became the eighth player in Ozaukee’s boys’ program to reach 1,000 points. He also recorded the single-game scoring record at Ozaukee earlier with year with 42 points.

Ozaukee won by forfeit over Random Lake in Tuesday’s opening playoff game since the Rams scheduled one too many regular season games and were punished by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. The No. 5-seeded Warriors, 11-13, play at No. 4 Living Word Lutheran (11-13) on Friday, March 6. The winner plays on Saturday, March 7, against either No. 1 Milwaukee Juneau, No. 8 Destiny or No. 9 Kenosha Christian Life.
