Old store may house company
Belgium’s longtime vacant former grocery store has a prospective new owner and tenant.
Dennis Casper, owner of Nitro Chain in Milwaukee, wants to buy the building at 465 S. Royal Ave. and move his business there.
To accommodate the plan, the Village Plan Commission on Monday recommended an amendment to an ordinance to allow a metal products warehousing and distribution in its business district. A public hearing needs to be held, and the Village Board has to approve the change.
Then, Casper will have to have a conditional use permit approved before moving his business.
Nitro Chain, 7842 Faulkner Rd., Milwaukee, is a power transmission supplier.
