OHS Class of 2021 will take its bows on Sunday
Ozaukee High School’s Class of 2021 will hold an outdoor graduation ceremony at the school’s football field in Fredonia on Sunday, May 23.
Among the 55 graduates will be valedictorian Morgan Vichich and salutatorian Kelley Large.
Prior to the event, seniors celebrated the week by having a senior walk on May 18, Tractor Day on May 20, a breakfast that featured senior superlatives and a parade through the Village of Fredonia on May 21.
Supt. David Karrels said there are no restrictions on the number of spectators allowed to attend the graduation. Families and friends are asked to sit in clusters with social distancing in mind. Masks are optional.
The ceremony will start at 1 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the graduation will be held in the school’s fine arts center.
Karrels said the ceremony has been scheduled before Memorial Day weekend to accommodate families.
“We understand families will be busy on Memorial Day weekend and afterwards, so we wanted to schedule the ceremony that would allow most of them to attend and support our grads,” he said.
