Norma Groth

Norma A. Groth, 93, a longtime Town of Grafton resident, died Saturday, July 7, at Meadow View Manor nursing home in Sheboygan.

Mrs. Groth was born in Jackson on March 31, 1925, to Henry and Louisa Schoenbeck Hennig.

On Oct. 11, 1947, she married Franklin Groth at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend.

According to her family, Mrs. Groth enjoyed bowling, quilting and playing sheepshead.

Mrs. Groth is survived by her children Julie Groth of Portland, Ore., Dianne Groth of Milwaukee, Alan (Ruth) of Danville, Ill., Annette (Ronald) Mason of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., and Christine Groth of Grafton; grandchildren Jaclyn, Jamie, Jeff, Samuel, Paul and Alexandria; and two great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by son-in-law Dennis Curtin and daughter-in-law Nancy Groth.

Mrs. Groth was preceded in death by her husband Franklin; children Joyce Groth, Judy Groth, Jerald and Janice Curtin; and brothers Edger Hennig and Norbert Hennig.

A funeral service will take place at noon Saturday, July 14, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.  

Interment will be in church’s cemetery.  

Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church are suggested.
