Nomination papers due Jan. 5
As of Tuesday, Dec. 1, candidates may begin circulating nomination papers for Grafton village, town and school board positions up for election in April 2021.
Candidacy papers must be filed with the respective municipal or school district offices by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5.
In the Village of Grafton, the seats held by Village President Jim Brunnquell and trustees Dave Antoine, Tom Krueger and Jim Miller are up for election.
The president and trustees serve two-year terms.
Nomination papers can be picked up and dropped off at Village Hall, 860 Badger Cir.
In the Town of Grafton, seats held by Town Chairman Lester Bartel and supervisors Paul Melotik and Karron Stockwell are up for election.
The chairman and supervisors hold two-year seats.
Nomination papers can be picked up and dropped off at Town Hall, 1230 11th Ave.
In the Grafton School District, the seats held by School Board members Jerry Rossi and John Scolman are up for election to three-year terms.
Declaration of candidacy and campaign registration forms are available at the district office, 1900 Washington St.
If more than two people run for any one seat, a primary election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Incumbents who do not seek re-election must file noncandidacy papers by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28. If they fail to do so, the deadline for nomination papers will be extended to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8.
