Nicholas Pepin

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Nicholas Pepin, a treasured son and beloved brother. Nick was called to eternity on Sunday morning, Dec. 3, 2023, at his residence in Oshkosh, Wis. He was 21 years old.

Born to Vince and Sherri Pepin on Jan. 3, 2002, at Fort Lewis, Wash., Nick brought immeasurable joy and happiness into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his caring heart and his deep commitment to his family and friends.

Nicholas will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. His infectious smile, captivating personality, cutting wit and fiery spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Nick is survived by his parents Vince and Sherri of Hartford; siblings Jenny (Trevor) Havican, Hilary, Krista, Jacob, AJ, Matthew and Luke Pepin and Jake Frantl; and nephew Finnley Havican.

He is further survived by grandparents Peter and Janice Krook, grandmother Scarlet Johnson, aunts, uncles, cousins, special cousin Brent Krook, other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Greg Johnson and great-grandparents Donald and Mary Krook.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Nick’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at First United Methodist Church of Hartford, 738 W. Monroe Ave., Hartford, Wis. The Rev. Cheryl Weaver will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 3 until 5:45 p.m.

Nick will be laid to rest beside family in Ishpeming Cemetery (Ishpeming, Mich.) on Monday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. (Eastern time), surrounded by the love and admiration of his family. This final farewell will provide an opportunity for loved ones to say their personal goodbyes and pay their respects to a remarkable young man who was taken far too soon.

In this time of profound grief, let us remember Nick for the remarkable person he was and the immense impact he had on our lives. May we find strength in each other as we navigate this difficult journey of loss and may the memory of Nick serve as a reminder to cherish every precious moment we have with our loved ones.
