Natural science courses set at bog
A variety of natural science workshops are being held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Field Station at the Cedarburg Bog this summer.
The workshops offer college-level instruction on natural history topics. Enrollment is limited to 20 students, and in-person workshops include time in the field.
Housing and lunch is available for in-person workshops. Some tent space is also available.
The workshops include nature journaling at 9 a.m. June 5 and 3 p.m. June 6.
“Sedges: Identification and Ecology” will be held at 9 a.m. June 12 and 3 p.m. June 13.
“Painting the Wild with Watercolor” will be offered at 9 a.m. Aug. 7 and 3 p.m. Aug. 8.
“A Survey of Wisconsin’s Algae” will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 21 and 3 p.m. Aug. 22.
Wetland delineation will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 18 and 4 p.m. Sept. 19, while advanced wetland delineation will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 2 and 4 p.m. Oct. 3.
