More than stickers, they’re art

When Fredonia voters cast their ballots at the Fredonia Government Center on Tuesday, Nov. 3, the “I Voted” stickers they receive will be pieces of art created by local students who won the village’s sticker contest. Holding their artwork against a backdrop of other entries after being recognized at a recent Village Board meeting were winners of each age category, (from left) fifth-grader Caleb Juhre, eighth-grader Ketryn Rakher, sophomore Brynn Mayer and third-grader Casen Miller. Their pieces were chosen from among 218 entries by the public. The village received more than 500 votes.  Photo by Sam Arendt
