Moonlight Meltdown added half marathon

The Snowrunners Ltd. Snowmobile Club’s annual fundraising event added a third option this year, and participants responded.

“Fundraising and participation has increased as this year was our highest in participation in the last 10 years with a total of 267 participants between the three events,” Snow Runners Trail Boss Kent Schueller said.

Colton Ortner, 27, of Eldorado won the Lakeview Half Marathon in one hour, 32 minutes, 16.77 seconds. Thirty-four people ran the race.

Nicholas Ginster, 52, Milwaukee, 1:45:22.24; 5. Brandon Spaeth, 33, Port Washington, 1:47:38.15; 6. Brett Williams, 20, Belgium, 1:47:57.86; 7. John Kuehn, 38, 1:48:13.57; 8. Kevin Vincent, 33, Grafton, 1:49:20.55; 9. Jillian Vielgut, 40, Slinger, 1:53.:45.52; 10. Nathan Finet, 27, Sheboygan Falls, 1:54:58.7.

Fifty-eight runners competed in the Sunset Safari 10-Kilometer Hybrid/Crossover Trail Run.

The Moonlight Meltdown 5K drew 147 runners.
