Montgomery represents PWHS at Congress of Future Medical Leaders

PORT WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL sophomore Nadia Montgomery held a press release announcing she was chosen as a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders.
Port Washington High School sophomore Nadia Montgomery this week joined some of the top high school students in the country who want to be physicians or medical researchers as a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders.
The congress, which meets from June 26 through June 28 at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, is an honors program intended to provide students with a path, plan and resources to help them reach their goals of becoming medical doctors and researchers.
Montgomery’s nomination to represent Port High at the event was signed by Dr. Mario Capecchi, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and science director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, based on her academic achievement, leadership potential and determination to serve humanity in the field of medicine.
During the congress, students will hear Nobel laureates and National Medal of Science recipients discuss medical research, receive advice from Ivy League and other top medical school deans, hear stories told by patients who are living medical miracles, be inspired by teenage medical science prodigies and learn about cutting-edge advances in medical technology.
The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, which organizes the congress, notes that it comes at a time when America needs more doctors and medical scientists who are prepared for a rapidly changing future.
