Mike Godersky
Mike Godersky of Port Washington loved to bowl.
It was his passion when he was young, and he honed his skills carefully. He participated in the Amateur Bowlers Tour and many leagues, earning numerous trophies along the way.
And he was particularly proud of bowling a perfect game, scoring a 300, in 2009, his family said.
Mr. Godersky died Wednesday, April 18, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. He was 64.
A native of Port Washington, he was born on Aug. 23, 1953, to James and LaVerne Schultz Godersky.
He graduated from Port Washington High School and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee.
On Aug. 16, 1991, he married Ingrid Tapola in West Bend, and they settled in Port Washington.
Mr. Godersky worked as a production planning manager at Milwaukee Electric Tools for 15 years before accepting a job at Vilter Corp.
He retired due to health issues in 2006.
Mr. Godersky was a former member of the Port Washington Fire Department.
He loved to watch football, whether it was a high school, college or professional game, and enjoyed spending time with his dog Nitschke.
Mr. Godersky is survived by his wife Ingrid of Port Washington; children Jason (Heather) Godersky of Grafton and Julie Lipperd and Jamie (Nikkole) Godersky, both of Indiana; and grandchildren Hailey Godersky, Alison and Charles Lipperd and Liam and Jude Godersky.
He is further survived by his sister Kim (Paul) Voeller of Port Washington; mother-in-law Olita Tapola of Germantown; and sister-in-law Julie (Mike) Schodron of Germantown.
Mr. Godersky was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Eino Tapola.
At his request, no services were held.
Arrangements were handled through Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
