Michael David Metz,

Michael David Metz, 26, passed away suddenly on Sept. 22 from a pre-existing medical condition.
As the son of a percussionist, Michael “Mikey” Metz fittingly so lived his life to the beat of his own drum.
Growing up in Sheboygan, Wis., Mikey spent his early years attending Cooper Elementary before graduating from Sheboygan Central High. His eagerness for knowledge continued throughout his life, often looking to learn new skills from his dad and others.
Mikey’s love for animals began at a young age and continued throughout his life.
Mikey was driven by seeing other people smile. He did that through his service to others and zany personality. Mikey’s impact in his community came from his many years of service at local retail stores, where he would always go the extra mile to ensure someone left with a smile and likely unexpected knowledge.
Mikey had a deep passion for video games, where he found joy, challenge and connection. Whether exploring vast virtual worlds or teaming up with friends online, gaming was more than a pastime — it was a space where he expressed creativity and built lasting friendships.
He is lovingly remembered by his dad Michael (Julie) Metz, mom Nicki (Don) Tuczynski, stepsiblings Eryk, Mira (Jon) and Sara (Dakota) and grandpas James (Susan) Lukaszewski and Paul Kloppenburg. Mikey’s silly humor and loyal spirit will be missed beyond words.
He was preceded in death by grandparents David and Marilyn Metz, grandmother Mary Kloppenburg, aunts Jennifer Wentz and Donna Walsh-Frye, uncle Brian Lukaszewski and four-legged friends Zoey, Mini and Sassy.
A memorial service will be held at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Rd., Grafton, on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at 6 p.m., with Father Tim Schumaker officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 3 to 5:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Epilepsy Foundation.
