Melvin Jones award presented

Longtime Port Washington Lions Club member Kurt Kleparski (center) was awarded the Melvin Jones award by the club during its Oct. 11 meeting.. Kleparski, who has been a member of the club since 1994 and served as its president from 2005 to 2006, was honored with the award for not only his years of service but also his work during the annual Fish Day and Lions Fishing Derby events. Congratulating Kleparski were Dave Mueller, the club secretary, and Kleparski’s wife Bev Ventura.
