Maryanne M. Seyfert

Maryanne M. Seyfert of Saukville passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Lawlis Family Hospice. She was 62 years old.

Maryanne was born on May 28, 1962, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Elmer and Patricia (Madden) Benson.

She graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1980.

On July 4, 1981, she was united in marriage to Thomas Seyfert. They spent more than 40 years together and were blessed with three children.

She dedicated a significant portion of her life to serving others. For many years she provided childcare in her home, and these families have become an integral part of her family. She also worked as a food service provider for the Port Washington-Saukville School District for 15 years.

During the summers, she would volunteer her time and assist with sewing and cooking classes at Thomas Jefferson Middle School.

Beyond her passion for helping others was her ability to bring family together. She always knew how to throw a family party, whether it was baking Christmas cookies every weekend with her children in December or making sure all the Easter decorations were out before Easter brunch. She found a way to make every holiday special with her delicious cooking.

She found great joy in her grandchildren. She loved to play board games, sew, cook, go to all their sporting events and go out to lunch — cherished memories they will all remember.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Tom, her children Michelle (Ray) Brouillette, Jason (Jess) Seyfert and Jessica (Mark) Barnard, her grandchildren Will, Megan and Claire Brouillette and Mackenzie and Jackson Seyfert, along with Joseph Barnard and one more on the way, Baby Girl.

She is further survived by her siblings Rick (Sharon) Benson, Jim (Maria) Benson, Steven (Becky) Benson, Sue (Doug) Lottes, Tim (Gynne) Benson and Peter (Erna) Benson and her sister-in-law Renee Benson, along with many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bob and Tom Benson.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Rd. LL, Port Washington. The family will greet friends and relatives at the church from 2 p.m. until the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lawlis Family Hospice for the care and compassion they showed to Maryanne and her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Maryanne’s name may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society Society Ozaukee Campus.
